You Are What You Eat: Help Your Hair, Skin, and Nails

Well the title is the truth! What this basically means is that everything we put OR don't put into our bodies effects your hair, skin, nails, energy, etc... many people are unaware of this! having a good balanced diet, taking a good multivitimin, and exercise can have such an impact on how are skin looks, and glows, how shiney, healthy, and how fast our hair grows, how we feel each day (energy), just our health in general!

Hair: for example! Did you know that once your hair is outside your scalp, it is basically dead! So be gentle to your hair, the part of your hair that is living is inside your scalp. If ya don't feed it right it's not going to grow out of your scalp healthy. Your skin and nails are very much the same, hence the saying YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT"!

What I mean by "be gentle to your hair" is that after its outside of your scalp it is your job to keep it healthy (clean, conditioned, free from split or dry brittle ends) some ways to do this is to use good products, get regular trims (the smallest of trimming can make a world of difference) for those with long hair, who want it even longer. Also, do not rip through your hair, gently brush or comb hair from the ends to your scalp! You will only tighten knots or snarles by ripping from the top to the bottom My personal BEST advice is to use PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS... they really do make a huge difference!

Another reason for differences in your hair, skin, and nails could be medication. Some medications have been known for hair loss, hair color not processing, also perms not processing, or even some other side effects. Anesthesia can do some strange things to your hair temporarily, I've seen it first hand, make sure your hairstylist knows this before a chemical treatment of any kind. This is very important to do!

So, remember to make sure you are putting the correct amount of vitamins and minerals into your body, and exercising in order to attain the look you are striving for on the outside of your body!

On the other hand, those of you that are on medication, there is not a whole lot that can be done, although you can try using different hair products to compensate for the problems you may be enduring, they can help quite a bit. Also, ask your Doctor what products as far as vitamins or supplements you can take to minimize the effects of your medications.

Thanks for reading, hope this information was some you can use!
